๐Ÿงต Sewing Seeds | ๐Ÿ™Œ A community-based creative project

๐ŸŒŸ Created in response to the isolation many people experienced during Covid-19, the project provides a welcoming environment where people can learn, share skills and build friendships.

Sewing Seeds is a community-based creative project using sewing and making as a way to bring people together, develop new skills and support wellbeing. Created in response to the isolation many people experienced during Covid-19, the project provides a welcoming environment where people can learn, share skills and build friendships.

The project will deliver a six-week programme teaching participants the basics of sewing through designing and creating a simple lined tote bag. This gives participants the opportunity to achieve something practical and meaningful, while building confidence and learning alongside others in a supportive group setting.

Following the introductory sessions, the project will continue through drop-in activities where participants can work on personal sewing projects, repair and upcycle clothing, and develop new creative skills. By encouraging creativity and connection, Sewing Seeds helps reduce loneliness and creates a space where people feel valued and supported.
