🚴 Culture Mile Cycle Access | Bikeworks CIC

⭐ The project recognises that mobility barriers, health conditions, safety concerns and transport costs can prevent some people from engaging fully with cultural opportunities.

Culture Mile Cycle Access aims to make cultural participation more inclusive by helping more people travel to and between events in ways that work for them. The project recognises that mobility barriers, health conditions, safety concerns and transport costs can prevent some people from engaging fully with cultural opportunities.

Through Cycle Connect, Dr Bike sessions and led rides, the project will support disabled people, older people and those with restricted mobility to access Culture Mile events. Side-by-side cycles will allow people to attend with family or friends, while maintenance support and guided routes will help more people feel confident travelling by bike.

Running from May 2026 to January 2027, the programme will deliver 26 sessions and create hundreds of opportunities for people to engage with culture. By improving access and removing barriers, the project supports a more inclusive Culture Mile for everyone.
