⭐ The project recognises that mobility barriers, health conditions, safety concerns and transport costs can prevent some people from engaging fully with cultural opportunities.
Bikeworks’ Culture Mile Event Access project will use Cycle Connect and Dr Bike to widen access to Culture Mile events by cycle. Cycle Connect is Bikeworks’ side-by-side e-assist cycling offer, enabling people who may not be able to ride independently to experience cycling and access local events, places and public spaces.
Dr Bike will provide cycle checks and minor adjustments to help people keep bikes roadworthy and remove practical barriers to cycling. Together, the activity will support more inclusive, visible and practical cycling access in and around Culture Mile. Bikeworks is a London social enterprise and exists to widen access to physical activity and wellbeing through cycling.
