This project funds WeSwim’s transition from crisis response to long-term resilience following the abrupt closure of the Golden Lane Leisure Centre, which came immediately after an already extended shutdown. Funding CEO capacity enables us to secure a sustainable future for City pool provision, supporting existing swimmers into alternative venues to restore the vital physical activity and social connection they have missed.
Crucially, safeguarding our presence in the City protects WeSwimâs long-term sustainability, underpinning the corporate partnerships, volunteer retention, and income generation that support eight clubs and 271 disabled swimmers across London.
