Culture Mile announces recipients of the 2025-26 Community Fund

On Tuesday 17th June we announced the Culture Mile BID Community Fund recipients for our 3rd successive year, and celebrated the volunteers who make it all possible.

⚪ We heard directly from business, charity and community members about their experiences of this impactful initiative and how recently supported projects and volunteer work have benefitted the Culture Mile.

🤝 Following a welcome speech from our CEO, Austin Casey, we held a panel discussion highlighting the significance of the Culture Mile BID Community Fund, its impact and the core value of volunteer work. A special thank you to Natasha Fleming, Justine Finance-Elzokm and Mark Lumsdon-Taylor for the insightful discussion.

🏆Sarah Baker, Head of Partnerships and Engagement, then announced the funding awards for the 2025/26 year of the Community Fund introducing 14 new projects in the Culture Mile and also highlighted our Business and Community Together volunteering programme, where we aim to link up businesses direct with our local community projects. 🥂 The evening continued with drinks, canapes and light networking in the stunning Barbican Conservatory whilst hearing updates on the Conservatory Renewal Project from Sarah Morris.
