Celebrate the spirit of Diwali through a creative, hands-on diya decorating experience with the Culture Mile BID. Diya colouring is a beautiful way to celebrate the spirit of Diwali through colour, creativity and tradition.
Inspired by the Festival of Lights, this creative activity invites you to decorate and personalise diyas with vibrant colours, intricate patterns and festive details. Whether you enjoy experimenting with art or simply want to try something new, it is a relaxing and enjoyable way to explore Indian artistic traditions, express your creativity and create something meaningful to brighten your home.
The workshop is led by Ekta – an artist and founder of StoryBeyondLines, specialising in mindful mandala art and creative cultural experiences. Her work celebrates traditions such as Diwali through art, patterns and self-expression. Featured on BBC Sunday Morning Live, she has collaborated with the National Maritime Museum, London, the Indian High Commissionโs Cultural Wing, UK, along with organisations like Westminster City Council, Amazon and M&S to name a few.
