๐Barbican Centre, Silk Street London EC2Y 8DS | ๐ 08:45 – 10:15
A unique wellbeing experience invites visitors to connect with art, stillness and reflection inside the Barbican Centreโs Sculpture Court.
Visitors are invited to begin their day with a moment of calm and connection at Delcy Morelosโ immersive artwork origo, as a special Morning Meditation and Sound Bath takes place within the Barbican Centreโs Sculpture Court.
This unique session brings together mindfulness, sound and contemporary art, offering participants the opportunity to slow down, reflect and experience origo in a new and deeply personal way. Created by Colombian artist Delcy Morelos, origo is an immersive installation exploring themes of ancestry, nature, memory and belonging. The artwork transforms the Sculpture Court into a space for contemplation, encouraging visitors to consider their relationship with the earth, each other and the environments we inhabit.
Through guided meditation and the soothing sounds of a sound bath, participants will be invited to settle into the space, release everyday distractions and engage with the artwork through a sensory experience. Sound baths typically use calming tones and vibrations to support relaxation and mindfulness, creating an atmosphere for rest and reflection. Taking place within one of Londonโs leading cultural venues, this event highlights the powerful relationship between creativity and wellbeing โ showing how art spaces can become places not only to look, but to pause, feel and connect.
Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice, this session offers a welcoming opportunity to experience origo from a different perspective.
