Led by Guildhall Ignite, the executive and professional training consultancy of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, this session will be led by a female specialist coach and supports an inclusive environment and encourages all voices to be heard. Combining a powerful blend of techniques and exercises that are grounded in the performing arts and executive coaching, the programme enables participants to step out of the shadows with ease and confidence to hold their space in high pressure situations, to be heard across a crowded stage and communicate with authenticity.

Taster Session participants will also have the opportunity to apply for a discounted series of 3 group coaching sessions for up to 5 people from their organisation. These sessions will explore what leadership looks like in you and your role including identifying and living your values. Our coaching approach makes practice a priority to ensure progress, so there will be an opportunity to workshop situations and practical ways you can apply this work to communicate effectively. We will also observe the strengths and qualities you would like to cultivate further, to hone in on why and how we lead for maximum effect, forming a development plan as an authentic leader.

This session will be led by specialist coach Endy McKay, an experienced facilitator and acting coach, and resident tutor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as well as Barbican Mentor Artist. Endy trained as an actor and works nationally and internationally in theatre, television, film, radio and voiceover, working for companies such as the RSC, The National Theatre, BBC and ITV. She has starred in shows such as Bafta-award winning Peep Show (Channel 4), A Discovery of Witches (Sky) and Romesh Ranganathanβs The Reluctant Landlord (Sky).
