🐣 Celebrate Easter in the Culture Mile

Join us in the Culture Mile this spring as we celebrate Easter across the city with a programme of creative, hands on activities and experiences. From tea blending and edible flower growing workshops to wax flower making and lino printing sessions, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the Easter weekend and Bank Holiday. Whether you’re looking to get creative or learn something new, Culture Mile has something for you. All of our workshops and events require booking in advance.

⚫ SPRING DETOX TEA BLENDING ⚫

🐣 As part of an Easter programme of events, join this introduction to the healing properties of a range of medicinal plants, hosted by Culture Mile BID and led by Hackney Herbal. This workshop will explore the themes of stress, relaxation and allergies such as hay fever and all attendees will make their own set of herbal tea bags to take home.

⚫ GROWING EDIBLE FLOWERS ⚫

🌼 Learn about using edible flowers to add beautiful colour to your space, as well as giving you something to brighten up your spring and summer salad.

🌸 In this workshop hosted by Culture Mile BID and led by Hackney Herbal, find out more about growing edible flowers, their benefits to wildlife and sow a few pots to take home.

⚫ MAKING WAX SPRINGTIME FLOWERS ⚫

🎨 Come and create springtime flowers from wax! Hosted by Culture Mile BID, this workshop will be led by Lola Lely – Royal College of Art trained artist, designer and maker. Each participant will create a bouquet of spring flowers, such as daffodils, using beeswax and waxed linen fabric.

🐰 Join this interactive workshop, hosted by Culture Mile BID and led by Lavendar Print School. Learn about the art of lino printing and create your own Easter themed prints. This session will be held in the Cloister of St Bartholomew the Great – where over 300 years ago, Benjamin Franklin literally inside the church as a printer!
