β¨ A new commission takes root in the Sculpture Court at the Barbican Centre, as Delcy Morelos explores our relationship to the planet with a site-specific installation made of soil, clay and fragrant spices.
π Colombian artist Delcy Morelos creates multisensory, immersive environments, inviting us to connect with soil, the material which sustains all life. The organic materiality of Morelosβ installation, inspired by Andean and Amazonian architecture, sits in dialogue with the iconic concrete of the Barbican. The commission marks a return of artwork in our Sculpture Court for the first time in 10 years.
